Robert A's Story
After High School I worked at Art's Chevron in the Village till "79". I went into the Army and was station at Ft. Carson Colo. I love Colo. Got out in 1982. Was a house painter for a couple of years then was a finish carpenter making per-hung doors foe Tim Wade Finish in Apple Valley. He went out of business and I worked for Hi Desert Doors. In 1990 I went back into the Army National Guard out in Barstow. It is a Maintenance Company. Went to Germany 3 times. Did a tour in Iraq from 04-05. And retired in 2010 with 23 years. d out at the Marine Base in Barstow in 93. I'm an Artillery Repairer Leader. I'm retiring on the 28 Aug. 2020 with 27 years out there. Patty and I have been together for 23 years. between the two of us we have 6 kid, 16 grand kids and a great grand child. love to go off shore fishing. I've traveled with my job to Japan twice, Okinawa twice, Singapore and all over the US. I'm looking forward to retirement. I am now retired. 30 Aug. 2020 and I love it. 32 years out at the Marine Base and 23 In the Army. Do what I want when I want to.
